Scott's first role ever in a play was that of a tree in Rainbow Planet, his 5th grade class play. Unfortunately, he also made a later appearance in the show as Granny Goose after the girl who was originally cast for the part threw a fit because she didn't like her costume.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
On opening night of the Belfast Maskers' 20th Anniversary outdoor waterfront performance of Shakespeare's A Midsummer Night's Dream, Scott was going to cross behind a row of tall hedges so to reach the other side of the set without being seen by the crowd. The show was minutes away from starting, and as he lifted the first branch to get through, it swung back, swatting him in the face and pulling one of his contact lenses right out of his eye! It had torn in half. He played the whole show with only one good eye! But it gets worse! On the second show night during the big dance at the end with his friends, he performed a cartwheel in the direction of the front row and split the seam of his pants. Hopefully the eyes in the crowd were worse off because he forgot his underwear that night!
